| PHP revamps marketing material
The Private Health Partnership (PHP) has re-designed its marketing material to coincide with a move to new headquarters in Baildon, West Yorkshire. The move follows PHP’s acquisition of JSP Medical Insurance Services, RED ARC Assured and Select Healthcare between December 2006 and February 2007. The new marketing literature aims to combine PHP’s nurse with the lamp logo with a modern style and it can be tailored to include additional information, such as the RED ARC serious illness services. Jan Lawson, managing director and co-founder of the company, said: "The last four months have been an exciting period for PHP with our three additional acquisitions, new premises and a new look. It will be interesting to see what the rest of 2007 offers." .

North Side Review: Five Star Bar & Grill
"This place feels like Northside," we remarked to our dining companion as we sat down at the Five Star Bar & Grill on 1424 W. Chicago Ave. Despite the rock-and-roll-inspired decor (which was strangely matched with the weapons-inspired overhead lamps), we felt like we could have been dining on N. Damen — same frat-boy atmosphere, same mediocre selection of standard bar fare, and same feeling as we left of "did we really just spend $30 on sandwiches and a couple of beers for two?" The menu at Five Star is pretty standard for a bar and grill — burgers with multiple variations (guacamole, bacon, grilled onions, etc.) and a selection of sandwiches. We tried the Sid & Nancy, a hefty sandwich of smoked turkey, muenster cheese and honey mustard on egg bread. We didn't have any real complaints about this sandwich, but then again, how hard is it to make a turkey and cheese sammie? The pulled pork sandwich featured pork with more of a barbecue sauce flavor than the traditional vinegar.
Government, businesses team up to bring new life to downtown ...
WRIGHTSVILLE - In a few years, Wrightsville has done what many communities only talk about, reversing a declining downtown into one on a steady upswing with more improvements coming. The changes have come about through private donations, local tax dollars, federal grants, a swelling of civic pride and an influx of young entrepreneurs investing in downtown. In the early 1990s, the fading Johnson County courthouse in the middle of town fit right in with dilapidated commercial buildings and crumbling sidewalks. The courthouse was in such bad shape that the Johnson County commissioners were considering abandoning it, turning it over to civic clubs and building a new courthouse outside of downtown. But that plan generated such an outcry that the commissioners changed course and opted instead for a $1 million renovation that was completed in 1996.
